Roll up Roll up.......... Let me start and end the thread for you. Donington will never find the money, no one will invest, the circuit and facilitys are crap, it should have gone to silverstone, the deadline will be extended, its a set-up, it was never going to happen, there we go i think i have covered all the bases for the negative keyboard monkeys, so no-one need bother to reply to this thread !!

Give it up, it's a lost cause.

Tell Silverstone now that they have it then they can start planning for next year.

Donington is a good circuit it is the facilities that are rubbish too much greed Motogp for the last 8 years steadily gotten worse i mean:-

1) Cost of tickets

2) Facilities.

3) Organisation.

I personally do not see anyone improving British circuits as there are too many greedy people more worried about there pockets than putting on a good race with good facilitys.

Ecclestone IF he really cared supposedly british would dip his hands into his own FAT pockets to help british circuits. BUT and a big but.. he don't care

He has made a tremendous amount of money from Racing tie he put back.

Please Bernie, just tell Donington it's over and give the race contract back to Silverstone, before it's too late for them to get it organised properly. No good giving Silverstone thegreen light in March.

mark turner. was mudplugger being sarcastic? i think that he was saying only what everybody else is saying!! good that he has changed his mind!
but reading the story. donington has just started selling bonds, with a seven year time frame!!! how on earth can they sell enough in 3 days? and who on earth would buy them, as a return is extremly unlikely. the mind boggles!

ahhh the power of the narrow mind ! the difference between you and i is that i SUPPORT anything that is good for the uk, i dont slate it and abuse it just because it has the wrong name, i think the only complaint is that the distance to travel is to far.
it is a awful long way to carry such a large opinion and ego and you may tire.
dont worry about the time frame as in 7 years something else will have come along that you dont like and the attention will be focused there instead.
I hope that donington pull this off as i will savour every moment of you all eating your words !!

mudplugger, why the need for a personal attack? you mention that you support anything that is good for the uk. well, the british gp is good for the uk, but what makes donington "more good" than silverstone. i think that you would find that silverstone would attract more visitors, so presumably there would be "better for the uk". and if donington does somehow pull it off, then i would readily admit that i got it wrong. but i mightnt be able to wait 7 years!

Mudplugger,Donington is my local track and I have been going there since the first meeting it ran in 1977 after the Wheatcroft takeover.I have become very fond of the track and have many happy memories from my visits there.I am as patriotic as you sound but as seems likely this grand plan falls flat can you explain who will pick up the pieces and restore what is now a brown blob on the landscape and return it to the viable circuit it was until a few weeks ago?Don't go bleating about patriotism, this has been a failed attempt to get rich quick by Mr Gillett which will have left us worse off not better in motorsport terms!

Word is that they haven't got the full money for the bond. Vis-a-vis, the project is dead.
