F1 » Todt: F1 will thrive now

Delight for Jean Todt as he wins FIA presidential election; despair for Ari Vatanen.

Genuinly good luck to Jean Todt, I really do hope that he has F1 (and the other FIA motorsport)'s best interests at heart rather than money.

Max said he would support the winner in anyway possible. So Todt's job should be easier. He will be able to lean on Max for the most difficult things. Hopefully they hide the strings on Todt so that it at least looks good to the public.

This is a joke Crash doesn't even have a photo of Jean todt not wearding Ferrari clothing...
How does the FIA honestly expect a guy with such strong ties to ferrari to be totaly neutral??
okay, some claim that his seperation from Ferrari was not amicable...
In that case, instead of favouring Ferrari he's gonna stab them in the back every chance he get's...
I really can't believe he is the best choice...

The only sensible thing to do is to wait and see what happens before passing judgement. Any true motorsport fan should give the guy a chance. Even if Vatanen had won, he would only be Mosley's puppet so it probably all comes to the same thing in the end.

Slight misspeak there. It should read "Ferrari will thrive now". As for the rest of it well .. oh look there goes a flying pig!
