well bernie lets hope the queen knights you, but instead of resting the sword on each shoulder with an up and down movement she does it horizontally and slices your head clean off.

This is how the piece should have read: leading influential and WIDELY HATED F1 commercial rights-holder Bernie Ecclestone and much-loved former BBC and ITV-F1 commentator Murray Walker. I reckon a knighthood for Brawn and an execution for Greedy Troll, perfect end to the season.

I think most of us were saying that after the Brazilian GP. Seems that BE is behind the times yet again, but there again does anyone listen to what he says anymore. He just seems to contradict himself and talk crap, time for the commercial rights to be handed over the F1 team principles.

why should brawn be knighted?? perhaps it should be honda, the team, or even zander, who should get the plaudits for the success.

It's kinda early for a knighthood for Ross Brawn. Maybe an OBE??

Doesn't take much to get knighted does it?

He has led 3 different teams to driver and team world championships, Benetton, Ferrari and now Brawn. People get knighted for a lot less.

It's not that long since Bernie critisised the name Brawn GP for a race team, saying that it meant nothing - he's just an engineer. And now Bernie wants him knighted!

Typical inconsistency from Bernie, but I do agree that Ross should be honoured.
