No regrets!?? Total farce! So we lose MotoGP at Donny for a half-@ssed attempt to get F1 there... What Ecclestone has inadvertently done is p@ss-off motorsport fans by creating havoc with the motorsport calender for next year! Who's gonna pay for a ticket to an event that may or may not be there,... or save the money for something that's definitely gonna be on, like the IOM TT !? Just keep digging that F1 grave Eccle-me-ole-muccah!

F1 » Ecclestone: No regrets – and 'no penalties' for Donington

F1 commercial rights-holder Bernie Ecclestone has insisted that there is no fear of any financial penalties for Simon Gillett or Donington Park should DVLL falter in its deal to host the 2010 British Grand Prix.

So the money men did'nt think access by public transport a good idea either!
Plus Bernie's demands for the rebuild meant it was never going to be that good a bet.

Scrapping their own bike track days = financial stupidity, WSBK = financial stupidity, The Motocross Grand Prix = financial disaster, Loosing MotoGP = financial disaster, hosting an F1 event = financial disaster.

I am surprised they didn't pull it off, after all F1 fits within their business plan!

No regrets and no penalty?! WTF!!!

They are in breach of contract you muppet!!!

Silverstone should have had the GP for at least the next two years, if Donington was to have time to properly prepare for F1.

If ever there was an advert to show that Bernie is just interested in money. Now watch him hike up the price for Silverstone to host the British GP.....

Why oh why can't you just at least listen to what the drivers, teams and fans want??????

Your killing F1 in Europe Bernie.

do you really think there is going to be a british gp? it's all part of bernie's master plan to kill f1 in the european arena. silverstone won't be able to affort the price bernie will stipulate.

the british gp will be replaced by some tilke design bore circuit where the race is run in front of 3 men and a camel. trust me, the team personnel will outnumber the spectators.

Bernie has successfully killed F1 here in the US too. He is more enamored with getting far east and middle east rounds yet fails to support the largest markets for the sport. Max down 1 to go. No bernie for 2011!

Bernie out!
And get someone sensible in quick!
Bernie step down before you are forced out, so someone with better and fresh ideas can put the sport back where it belongs!
