Sincere condolences to the Wheatcroft family. Tom is a great hero to all motorsport fans and especially to those who love going racing at Donington. How sad the DVLL debacle meant he never saw the British GP there. Respect.

RIP TOM.Such a pity that his last few weeks should have seen his beloved Donington ripped apart.I hope that his death is the catalyst for a major effort to return the track as a viable circuit once more.

A sad day has loomed now that Mr Wheatcroft has passed, I was lucky to meet up with him and engaged in conversation while visiting his beloved collection of machines at Donington.

He was a most affable and jovial character and a true gentleman. Thank you for your unselfish giving of time and effort in restoring Donington Park for us fans of "fast & exciting" !!! Bless you Tom.

Condolences to his family.

I attended the first race meetings at Donington when it re-opened in 1977 and the following year became a marshal for the Donington ES Team. If Tom had not started the circuit racing again, my life would have been the poorer and I would have not met so many good friends. Thank you Tom, you were a true enthusiast and gentleman, you will be sadly missed.

I met Tom about 5 years ago at the Grand Prix Collection and chatted to him for about 10 minutes. He told me he had just got back from Maranello to have a look at a new road car, he also said he'd bought another old grand prix car while he was there, He commented that 'it would be wrong to go to Maranello and come back empty handed!' Great guy

Tom wheatcroft was a great man and a great frend to the DPRAC, Donington park supporters club who after assisting in a small way in returning racing there then allowed us to continue helping the riders, drivers and services at the circuit. Our little get togethers at our yearly do's wont be the same again. He loved motor racing and it is a real pity his dream of F1 returning there wont be realised. Top Man! on behalf of the 1000's of past and present members.
