For goodness sake lighten up and stop taking the grumpy tablets.

Sugestion for bernie, why not have a mix of suppliers and no not a tyre war, each car to have three sets available per race from 4 manufacturers, which three dependent on drawing lots after qualifying.
Each car to have 3 Jokers they must use in three races of their choice during the season, this is where they mix brands front and rear and score double point in those races.
Brands I would nominate.

Let's put fun back into F1. Go back to Dunlop D7s - new for the wet and 1/2 worn for dry races. Then we should see who can drive!
Whichever company steps in - give all the same tyre.

I don't think any of them would want to do business with the troll.

Goodyear surely wouldn't bother without a N American round, Michelin couldn't give a to$$ after Indy, the others already have lower formula commitments, who else has a big enough operation to do it?

Perhaps each team will have to supply their own tyres?

andrew, i think that the poll is just to guage opinions. on looking at the announcement thread, you have three differing posts, so it seems to be acceptable to suggest a possible supplier, and then change your mind (in your case)

richard - whilst I suggested a couple manufacturers, one of them was Firestone which is apparantly part of Bridgestone so I revised my opinion. Is that okay?

F1 is cattle-trucked if none of the big hitters want to step in !!

Many other manufacturers feel the crisis too and have no budget. And/or are already commited to other series. And/or are close to bankruptcy.

Something has got to change, because I doubt that any manufacturer has the cash to provide a 26 car grid with free tires and free support.

Mich wont enter cos they wont want their tyres to fall to bits. Pirelli may as per usual its a series they can buy instead of competing head to head, where they usually lose.
