nothing about this retirement itself as it was already discussed on related news . what I want to say is my concern that it will not gonna be the last in the row till the next F1 start .

It's absurd that FOTA say they are "sad". Toyota's departure is entirely the fault of FOTA, aided and abetted by the Toyota F1 team's own management.

When the FIA and several independent teams tried to introduce a limit on costs, FOTA and the Toyota F1 team fought tooth and nail to stop it happening.

Now Toyota are out because of the costs. John Howett, the FOTA vice-chairman and Toyota F1 boss must be feeling very proud of himself. The workforce are probably less happy.

Max was 100% right.
Howett is an utter hypocrite.
So much for sportsmanship with a new Concorde agreement. Such people cannot in any way be trusted.

The FIA failed to understand the mindset of the Japanese. To the Japanese, nothing is more important than honor & integrity in business.

Recently, I witnessed a Japanese actress/singer who was involved in drugs, bowing & apologizing to all her fans in tears before the entire Japanese media. That's how seriously the Japanese viewed doing business.

The corruption & abuse of power at the FIA by Max & his gang, plus whipping-gate is about all the Japanese can stomach. The poor economic climate is only a diplomatic means by which the Japanese use to burn their bridges with the FIA & FOM. They had enough. Todt is only an extension of the corruption & abuse at the FIA.

Powerline is talking rubbish. If any of his allegations had played any role, Toyota would have (a) said so and (b) left at the end of 2008.

You only have to see Yamshima's reaction to understand that this was a decision none of the Toyota bosses wanted to take. Another set of disastrous financials forced their hand.
