I do not know what this means. Surely now they have their puppet master at the helm, things should start settling down, Teams did not want a cap, but now they are quitting because it is too costly? What do they want? Why are Ferrari moaning? They are financed up the wazzoo, what matter if inferior teams join, they have a better chance of winning? The sport is being corrupted by inferior teamms? these people are just never happy?
Sheesh!

Do you think it fair that cosworth have been allowed to develop their unit and ferrari havent

Im no Ferrari fan by any means but if anyone thinks that this is fair then they are indeed crazy.
Luca has every right to throw his spanners out the cot if this is actually what is happenning.

Luca just went through the diffuser gifts and realizes that the Cosworth was another ploy by Max to help the second tier teams. There is nothing fair about the way Max plays his games. Wait until he writes his book and explains all the set ups over the years favoring Red.

johndier. if you believe that, you would believe the moon is made of cheese! there is absolutely NO way that anyone, with 6 month development, could cut down a v10, to a v8, reduce rpm, and come up with 60 bhp more than the other engines. both campos and usf1 have stated that the cosworth is well down, with usf1 wanting to ditch the cosworth for a merc or toyota.

Johnson, what Racy said was the truth: Enzo only started the road car division so he could keep racing. This lasted until the late eighties, when the F1 team broke even and started to make some money instead of relying on the road cars for funding

If memory serves me I thought Ferrari recieved triple what anyone else made for winning championships. Special veto power and more money to Ferrari for being the most special team does not sound like Mosley did not take care of them as well.

Richard

An Engineering Firm with the latest technology should AT THE VERY LEAST be able to make such gains in said timescale.

Cosworth have access to vast computers and technology too, its not the preserve of McLaren or Ferrari.

In 3 years do you think engine technology has stood still? RIDICULOUS if you do!
That cosworth are allowed to change and the rest arent is tantamount to FIA endorsed cheating, to hell what anyone thinks because that is a fact!

What's wrong with cheating in F1. I thought it was the way the business was run. Max has had his hand in every championship in the last many many years.

That Williams think it will be the most powerful unit(i havent read that story) is hardly surprising.

If Ferrari and Mercedes jointly pullout of F1 because of this debacle, F1 will be dead. :-o

If the Cosworth engine is the most pwerful, is it the most reliable and the most economic with fuel. Durability and fuel economy wil be key to next years engines.
