Before Bernie exposed F1 to the world manufacturers were makers of high performance sports cars eg Ferrari mercedes Maserati and alfa These companies used the experience to better their sports cars.

It seems very soon F1 will be back to only manfacturers that build high performance sports cars and private teams.

It is understandable then that the likes of Honda and Toyota are not interested in building F1 engines.

Mclaren and Mercedes will eventually split.
Not yet and definately not before 2011. However, I think Mercedes pushing to power Red Bull next year and then have McLaren veto them didnt help Mclarens long term chances of Mercedes Power.
In the end Mercedes will wait till 2011 when the economy is better before they sell and get good value on their investment rather than a certain loss if sold now.

Not for me I would much prefer a Nissan or Mazda sportscar.

The Nissan 370Z is a gem.

Nissan's are renaults in a new overcoat. Their cars are dogs, fall apart when you look at them. The 350z has a turning circle bigger than a bleedin' bus for heavens sake. Mazda's are far superior in everyway and putting both cars in one sentence together just goes to show how much you do not know about cars Fred1.

JET

My Honda Accord kept going back with a knackered turbo ( it was only 2 years old with 40k on clock ) It used to blow black clouds out of the back everytime it was started.

Yes, they supplied good engines in the 80's and early 90's for F1, but times have changed.

Could this be an all Merc engine series ! !

Fred have a look what a 2.0 4 cylinder S2000 does to a 3.5 litre V6 350z on a race track.

Honda per litre can claim to make the best on the planet!

An NSX is a 3.2 litre V6 and is in a totally different league to the nissan 350Z.
Yes Honda interiors arent amazing but there "halo" products are fantasic and unsurpasses in their class. Even when compared to turbo opposition honda still perform well
