EJ is terrific, who else could go and drag Schumacher in front of a camera and make him talk? Or what about him jumping up and down and singing with the Brawn crew after Brazil. I don't even like the guy but he's been a real shot in the arm for the BBC commentary, it'll never be dull while EJ is part of the team.

Him and Brundle are priceless, all the others are OK but could easily be replaced with little difference to the overall coverage.

F1 » BBC F1 pundit Coulthard set for return – in DTM?

BBC F1 pundit and 13-time grand prix-winner David Coulthard - statistically the most successful British driver in top flight history - could be set for a move to tin-tops in 2010.

I would really like to see him behind the wheel again.
He is fab, ol' chisel chin! :)
But how would we cope without him with EJ? :-o

surely its EJ that the bbc need to get rid of!! DC could also walk into an audi drive in dtm, through his red bull connections. it would be interesting but i dont know if he has the adaptability to drive closed wheel cars. but lets see if he can!

James Allen and Jonothan Ladgard are both pitifull. One think he is Murray Walker (no comparision!) and the other can't stop asking questions. Both overpaid word stranglers. They should ditch Eddie Jordan (does his nose come off with his glasses and is that a wig?) as he adds nothing. I really wish Murray Walker would come back.

James Allen could be accused of over enthusiasm, and occasionally getting too excited, but at least he's a very decent journalist.

Legard is just hopeless and would be better off being placed in a retirement home.

The commentators have to sound enthusastic and over excited as some of the so called the exciting battles aren't really that exciting.

If they watched the last lap of catalunya MotoGP this year, they would have had a heart attack.

I don't mind Eddie and DC as pundits. Eddie certainly says it how it is, even if he does get it wrong sometimes!

Not much of fan of the Jake bloke. Watched the lotus feature and apparently he had never even driven on a circut before. Is he even a petrol head of any kind? However, I appreciate its not a prerequesit.

@Rhino, without wishing to belittle your grasp of economics, if you are suggesting that DC would be as crash-happy in DTM as in Formula one, then the supply of scrap metal would go up and assuming demand stayed constant the price would go DOWN. There ends today's lesson. Tomorrow - Chaos theory and its application in Motorsports
