@Racehound: less of the fizzy drinks please, they make you a bit hyper.

Somehow I doubt Ferrari will be dominant next year. With one teammate (Massa) the much-loved protege of the team correctly calling the other a cheat (Alonso) I sense another Alonso tiff (he really can't work in a team, can he?) and some similarities to McLaren 07.

Should be interesting at any rate.

F1 » Button predicts F1 2010 could be most open in years

Recently-crowned F1 2009 World Champion Jenson Button reckons Brawn GP will face rather more opposition in 2010 - from the likes of Red Bull Racing, McLaren-Mercedes and Ferrari.

2009 was the most open in years. Jenson had the best car at the start of the year and thats what made him Champion. He'll be lucky if he's in the top-5 in 2010

Is that pin-head daughter of Bernie, Tamara, reading any of this? Can she read in the first place? I wonder.

I would love to see Jenson take the title again in 2010 but I think at this early stage and judging on this year's performance it's going to be Vettel. The cars are going to be very different next year, and with Adrian Newey designing the RBR it's going to be top.

Brawn will still be the team to beat.
By installing the Mercedes engine to fit properly this time it will gain the team 0.4 seconds without even redesigning any component from the BGP001.

On top of this Brawn started work on a newer design in july after Silverstone, when it was known that Red Bull had the best aero package and overall design.
So what you will find with BGP002 is that it will look very similar to red bull but also feature Brawns own interpretations along with an engine that the car is designed around. :)

2010 will be a season of two halves then:

BGP, RBR, McL, Ferrari - division 1 fighting out the points

New Teams - making up the numbers

STR, FIF1 - nipping points from DNFs or other catastrophes elsewhere

RF1 - who knows!

I can visualize FM bumping FA off the tracks in his Ferrari already. Luca would be having nightmares for 2010.
