Glad to see that the experts are saying what a lot on these boards have been saying for quite some time. Button is making a bad move. I said it in the other thread Button will be outdriven, out qualified, and out classed by Lewis. He is a 2nd tier driver period.

The thing they forget to mention is that Jenson is a team player whereas Teflonso and the others have all been in it for themselves and stamp their feet when they do not get there way. Thats why they always leave. AND ROn Dennis is the one who created that bad atmosphere in the first place, and he has gone now. Whitmarsh is a different kettle of fish. Jenson is capable of being everyone's buddy and bringing a team together, those are his strengths. Plus he will have the NO 1 on his car, which has to stand for something. LH wont like that much so it's a huge psychological boost for Button driving that around all year.

Could be quite a smart move for Mclaren. Button is regarded as being gentle on the tyres and with no refueling next year, Hamiltons style may prove a bit too hard on them on longer heavy runs. That said, I would have to pick Hamilton every time in a straight fight.

As a fan of Jenson, i understand that this move will either shut up all doubts about his performances or it can show up his abilities. Im just concerned about his mental strength which is not always with him... after a few unlucky drives he can fall down. But if ferrari did the job with massa and raikkonen, why not mclaren with JB and LH?
good luck JB :)

Watch as Hamilton and son try to take over McLaren again in response to Button and miss out on yet another WDC.It will be hillarious to watch Lewis jump around and proclaim HE is the number one driver, not the CURRENT World Champion Button.

Take over McL AGAIN.. what are you on? Lewis will be in his fourth year with Mcl. He has a 2,1,5 finish in championships he has contested. That is an average finish of 2.66. I would say he is either the number one driver in F1 or number two. Thats in F1 not just McL.

Great Off-season so far

A) Poor Jenson, finally gets a little respect and now McLaren politics, yikes!
B) Interesting to see McLaren as a customer rather than a Partner with Mercedes. It's definitely not going to be the same.
C) Look for Force India to be on par with McLaren.
