hmm disapointed Paul Di Resta Hasn't managed to get a drive although i dont ever think it was on the cards. The third driver role is practicaly worthless if he manages to bag that.although Sutil has shown flashes of speed i have my doubts he is as good as his reputation.Liuzi is probably just above average.

Im disappointed also that Di Resta has'nt got the drive with them but on the whole, i think it is the right decision. Sutil (on his day) is a decent driver, his run to 4th in Italy proves that, and Liuzzi did more than enough int he final 5 races to earn a proper chance with the team for a full season.

Good luck to them

Luizzi....last 5 races
Italy quali.7 ......race retired
singapore quali.20......race 14
japan quali.19......race 15
brazil quali.15 .... race 11
(b4 g/box change)
abu quali.20......race 15

I'm not seeing enough there to earn a proper chance , as I see it he's had at least 2 bites of the cherry already and still not delivered, sorry :?

You have to compare that to Sutil in the same car though.

At Monza he would have finished ahead of Sutil if not for the driveshaft failure (lost some cash on that one).

Singapore Sutil retired, car was crappy on that circuit.

Japan, ok, bad race by Liuzzi...

Brazil, crashed in Q2 in tricky conditions, not able to qualify better than P15 when session restarts...then 5 places penalty.

Abu Dhabi, qualified P16, not 20 and in front of Sutil in P17 (race and quali).

Not saying he's the best out there in any way, but he's not out of place in F1 and deserves a full year in a car that's not an STR.

To be honest I'm just glad di Resta is back in the F1 frame. It would have been criminal if someone who beat Vettel in the same car was overlooked for the likes of heavily-hyped drivers like Senna or non-entities like this Lopez character USF1 are purported to be interested in.

As far as the main line-up goes, I agree its sensible to stick with Sutil and Liuzzi with the big proviso that they both need to deliver RESULTS next year - they have both been 'nearly men' too long.

I hear what you're saying, but I'm wasn't comparing him to Sutil just taking his last 5 results as a whole and to be honest I stand to be corrected at the end of next season,it's just that he's never really shone previously so I don't see that changing, mind you having said that Massa ( who I always rated ) was a bit wayward at Sauber so maybe Luizzi just needs a guiding hand
