F1 » Kubica out, Briatore back in at Renault F1?

Robert Kubica could find himself 'automatically released' from his contract with Renault to jump ship to Mercedes Grand Prix 'in the coming weeks' - as disgraced 'Singapore-gate' protagonist Flavio Briatore plots an F1 return...

Oh this is priceless. Could just be the usual Crash bull5hit, but can you imagine Max's face if we had a Briatore GP team next season?
Why though would Mercedes want to take Kubica ahead of Heidfeld? Weird.

I can only see Kubica getting Mercedes seat if he has big sponsor backing. Kubica is a great driver, but by not having a older matured driver might be against them. I haven't got anything against Kubica, but Heidfeld is still my safe option. His smooth driving style will be a massive asset next year when drivers need to look after their tyres

If we don't want smooth boring driving, then why don't they chase after Kamui Kobayashi. When he came in for the last 2 races of the season, do you think it will get more exited than that?

Kubica at Mercedes + Briatorie back - two finer pieces of news you couldn't find.

I'd love to see Flavio return - he's a character and we need those rather than yes men like Whitmarsh.

Kamui Kobayashi! Now there is one driver that would shake up the grid and give everyone something to think about! Its a real shame that Toyota decided to get out because he would have given them a win for sure! Now... If Kubica does get a drive with Mercedes that team will be a force to be reckoned with! Rosberg is a great driver who consistently improved throughout this season unlike his team mate!
Kubica is also a great driver with 137 points out of 57 starts while Heidfeld has got 219 points from 170 starts. Now my maths is pretty poor but even I can see that Kubica has the edge! Kubica has scored almost 3 x more points per race!
