"Piquet left the grand prix paddock with his tail between his legs after blowing the whistle on the biggest scandal to shake F1 in recent memory"

Wrong. Piquet left because he was sacked because he was an over-rated under achiever. It was only after he was sacked that his moral conscience supposedly took over and he decided to blow the whistle. Making out that he left because he blew the whistle is just further distorting the facts in a case which already leaves a lot to be desired, truth wise.

He isn't missed in F1, and he won't be noticed if he's back.

He made burning bridges look like an art form - no one wants to have a sour-talking whinger in their team.

At least Bourdais went on win a few races elsewhere after being sacked. The Piquets instinctively opened their mouths and snuck under the Campos desk...

I was about to go on a tirade but looks like Alan D hit the nail on the head. The last thing F1 needs now is this twit in a race car. But then again we do always need backmarkers.
