He'll be in the car.... Ross B & Mercedes will open their cheque book to whatever amount is necessary - The massive publicity alone will repay any investment made in securing Schumi behind the wheel in 2010. Poor Niko - his big career move, all to end up as a number 2 driver - again... :-(

Rus, you are dead right about poor Nico, and that would be my one regret about seeing MS come back into F1. If MS does end up at Brawn then, with hindsight, where do you think Roseberg should have gone? Mclaren alongside LH? Renault?

@Alan D = Yup - exactly Alan, like minded. I was only just thinking how much better off Nico would have been in the McL 2nd seat - far more deserving of it I feel than JB, who even with his recent Championship win hasn't really shown the form over his (long) career to be a real rival to LH in the 2010 McL...

I think Schumi's Ferrari contract still alive till the end of this year. If he will join Mercedes and the team want to see him in their colors/overal, they have to wait till 2010 january :)

He's a true racer and obviously still wants the challenge. Everybody wants to see him back in F1 and it would create the most amazing season. All German team run by his old mucker Ross Brawn with the Merc badge, surely this is too much temptation for him not to comeback. Bet he'd love another world title chance and the opportunity to race matured versions of Alonso, Hamilton,Vettel, etc.

(Schumi vs Nico)vs(Jens vs Lewis)vs(Alonso vs Massa)vs(Vettel vs Webber)

Best time for him to comeback would be 2010 as the refuelling is banned, evens things out a bit.

Be funny if he came back for 1 season, won the title, kicked eveyone's **** and retired again!

I think mercedes if looking for schumacher to drive for them as part of a big PR stunt, a bit like when BAR was formed and they bought Villeneuve for huge money. Schumacher might only drive for one year, but it would be a massive thing for the team. Because they have changed from a private British team to a German one, I would guess that they will have lost some fans to McLaren possibly so they need a fan base and this is the way to get it

If MS ever thought of comeback, the time is now.It will never get better than this.He would be in a great team with people who worked with him,and the cars on full fuel will be pretty new to all.If he decides not to,most likely we will never see him in f1 as a driver.
