Still keep asking myself "WHY?" what's his motivation he doesn't need the titles, not short of the odd euro and he is just setting himself up for a fall-stay away and just be remembered as an icon and not like some ex champion boxer that can't resist that one too many fight

Believe me, I am no Schuey fan, but why not make a come back.If he wins, all great and everyone, including Ferrari, will lap it all up, as always. If he fails, then this was always going to be "His last drive". Once a racing car driver, ALWAYS a racing car driver.

Why???
Because he is a racing driver, he doesnt need the money or the titles, he has the fire in him and still gets a thrill from racing and competing. He is a true racer and will never want to fully stop competing because it is his life and passion... unlike Kimi who doesnt give a **** about racing.

I think they're trying to make the team instantly popular with MS in a seat, doesn't sound like he's after a record breaking salary either. whether we like it or not, deep down we really want to see how good or bad MS and the other drivers are compared to each other. I must admit, I would've gone for Heidefeld, but I won't see MS as a bad call, for all of us will be watching the 1st race to see how he does, no matter how much we love or hate the guy. Even if it goes bad, he will always be introduced as the 7 times world champ.

So, Nick Fry is sticking the knife into Button already. Didn't take long did it.

Not only is he an idiot, he's vindictive & manipulative. Remember, he was responsible for the demise of Super Aguri. It was on his word that the circuit security at Istanbul turned the Super Aguri trucks away, which heralded their demise.

Where in that story does it say that Merc are in talks with Schumacher?? Maybe I'm blind, as I can't see it, apart from the title obviously!! :?

adam. 100% correct. there has been NO definite statement from any party, everything is just speculation and hearsay. interestingly, it is reported that rosberg has said, that he would welcome schumi, BUT rosberg would not be number 2!
