Maybe because half the team has left to seek employment elsewhere. And last years car was complete crap. So improving the car with less people and fewer resourses puts them just ahead of the cosworth teams.

no one is racing now but we are invited to make comments anyway.
Renault (Bell) admitted the car will not be competetive in 2010.
Did not realise I was being crass!

Glad he has seen sense and is staying put. He could have found himself off the grid altogether otherwise. Kubi will struggle to get much out of the car though, last year's Renault was a dog. I can see the new management at 'Renault' putting Villeneuve in the other car, and having Ho-Pin Tung as third driver. Doin't they own/manage them both?
