The only emotion about this team is anger at them dragging the Lotus name through the mud for the sake of an advertising gimmick.

I fully expect the team to drop the Lotus name once they have pleanty of sponsors and are established in F1.

I hope this team is successful but this is only for one reason. The Lotus name.

that car will be as much a Lotus as the Ferrari is a Chevrolet.......Colin Chapman will be turning in his grave watching this lot drag his name through the gravel trap........

What a self opinionated prick Fernandes is. He runs a bancrupt airline bailed out by his government hijacks a great British sporting name and thinks he can rival Ferrari all in one go, a 5 minute wonder in F1 this man.

Sorry to disappoint all you doubters, but a name does mean a lot. Take football as an example. 50 years ago a team might be made up of players all born within 10 miles of the ground. Now a Premiership team can be made entirely of overseas players and run by a far-east consortium, yet the fans still believe it's their team.

Using the Lotus name is a shrewd move. I doubt they'll be any good, but it's a clever piece of marketing.
