Am I the only one on here who's pleased he won? I don't particularly like him (or hate him), but anyone who stuffs the FIA/Mosely like that gets my nod of approval.

Cheating is everywhere in sport, not least the FIA's attempts to favour Ferrari and rig to-the-wire championships every year.

Stu: "Am I the only one on here who's pleased he won?"

No, you are not. I don't know the truth behind what happened and I think it should have been investigated properly and everyone given a fair hearing. Instead it was very much a case of assassinating his character in the press.

If ever I appear in court, I sincerely hope the jury is more open minded and fair minded than the posters on Crash who seem to have made up their minds on this long before hearing any facts. I am also disappointed to note that a great number of posters here seem to include "he's fat and ugly" as one of the reasons why he doesn't belong in F1 and a reason why he is "obviously guilty as sin".

I spotted the comment at the bottom of the piece stating that the ruling against Pat Symonds had similarly been reversed - I'm probably more pleased for him than Falvio Briatore. Hopefully he can get a job, and quietly get back to doing what he does best, and put this episode behind him...

Yeah I noticed that final paragraph as well about Pat, and I do hope he comes back into the sport albiet in the background. I wonder how many years this whole thing is going to going on in the courts :?
