Credibility ?

LOL, are Manor still using Mad Max's pet FIA stooge Donnelley as their behind the scenes PR man ?

May they rot where they deserve. Virgin made themselves look so cheap by refusing to cough up and pay Brawn, what on earth do they hope to achieve sponsoring terminal backmarkers ?

alex.. brawn made a race per race deal with Branson. Originally it was 200K per race. When Brawn started winning Ross wanted to up the per race fee. Dramatically. Branson decided to leave because Ross was getting greedy. Make a deal and stick with it. Ross only gave Rubens a four race deal. the rest was based on performance. Rubens and Button both RAN as fast as they could from the double talker.

When I read about the union of ex-Simtek folks, Lucas di Grassi and Richard Branson on the same team, I got my hopes high. All the elements to take f-1 by storm. But their approach on investing and expending makes me fear for the success of the team. I still hope Virgin Racing will be the best of the new teams coming march, but...
Come, folks, allow yourselves to spend more.

Rob01,

I appreciate what you are saying, but find it hard to describe Brawn as greedy, Virgin must have had the cheapest publicity in years out of F1..... You have to wonder if they think siding with the teachers pets will get them up the F1 grid cheaply. They only signed up because Mad Max wanted to reduce budgets to large GP2 levels (40M) as a means of getting back at McLaren and Ferrari and the manufacturers he is, sorry, was at war with.

Moseley, from beyond the professional grave, is still trying to wage his vendettas, make no mistake. We, as F1 fans, must do all we can to defeat Spankys Evil Empire, Manor's behaviour will never be forgotten or forgiven.

alex - Mosley is far from the professional grave. He sits in the FIA Senate and is elligible to sit on the throne again in 4 years. I think our only hope is for Jean Todt to 1) implement good governance principles for F1 and 2) eliminate the corruption in Spanker's FIA. The Federation's recent embarassment by the French court's decision in favor of Flav provides the impetus if Todt will just use it.
