F1 » Klien retains hope of race seat in F1 2010 despite Sauber snub

Christian Klien insists he is not disappointed at being beaten to the second Sauber seat in F1 2010 by Pedro de la Rosa - and argues he still has 'a fair chance' to rejoin the grand prix grid this season, possibly with Renault...

why would anyone hire de la rosa when klein, fisi and nick are still without drives.

Have to agree with Calvin and Brendan. Klien is not that good, and shouldn't get signed ahead of experienced, fast drivers like Heidfeld or Fisi. But even he would have been a better choice than de la Rosa. Don't know what Sauber was thinking. Klien to Campos would be fair enough, at least then he'd have an excuse for being slow!

klien is underrated imo. he's definitely better than fisi (klien was slightly faster in the non-traction control test for force india way back when). as far as nick, no. but if heidfeld can't find a seat (the guy must be negotiating with renault, a reserve drive at mercedes isn't good for him) then klien is likely the first choice for renault, which for all intents and purposes, is a very good seat to end up with, considering the fact that he hasn't been in f1 for a few years
