F1 » Ickx: Rosberg Schumacher's biggest enemy in F1 2010

Contrary to the popular school of thought, it could well be returning F1 legend Michael Schumacher who has difficulty in keeping up with Mercedes Grand Prix team-mate Nico Rosberg in F1 2010, argues Le Mans hero Jacky Ickx

@ George & Johnsoneveltwin
"How many more former drivers do we need to hear about?"
Well, I really prefer to hear from people like Ickx and the others than opinions from people like you guys that probably never sat in a racing car... even though I am a Schumi fan, Ickx's opinions deserve respect, something that yours do not.
If you want to comment on some one else's opinion give us facts because yours are pretty close to being worthless.
So... do us a favor ...

I see instead of making a point, you resort to personal defamation.
Care to look over Crash's last 2 weeks worth of headlines?
Coulthard this, Herbert that, Irvine this, Jordan that, Piquet this, Ickx that, Moss this.

Now had you seen the pattern, perhaps you wouldnt have been so short sighted to post the above?

Also if you value the guys opinion, I respect that.

But this?
"If you want to comment on some one else's opinion give us facts because yours are pretty close to being worthless.
So... do us a favor ... "

Well i suppose my opinion is you can roll that comment up and smoke it.

Your a Schumi fan and respect Ickx' opinion.
Do i have to give facts if i want to express an opinion?

Really tired of all these old drivers making comments, not their fault of course, they are being asked the question.

So I post my displeasure(which is a fact FRANK G like it or not) and you bandy some stray comment saying my opinion is worthless because of it?

I'm glad you probably dont have a position of influence in life, because heaven forbid anyone disagreeing with you :)

No one has to read the comments from the posters either, as the article is separated from the comments ... you have to click the link to read everybody's opinion, as you only see the last or only comment on the story at the end of the article itself.

You could always proposition crash.net to go read only, then no one has a say about ANY topic, brilliant, offending, or otherwise .... though it would probably kill this website going read only, as so many say its' content is nothing but drivel or sensationalism anyways.

"I see instead of making a point, you resort to personal defamation."

Followed by:

"Now had you seen the pattern, perhaps you wouldnt have been so short sighted to post the above?"

Two wrongs don't make a right.

The poster has a point. It is all opinion. An opinion is generally not a fact unless backed up with something is the point that is being made.

Anyhoo, on topic..

I would agree with Ickx. It is usually the teammate that each driver wants to beat the most.

And? So what? Former drivers can probably offer a better insight than any reporter and armchair enthusiast as they are speaking from experience. All newspaper have opinions by those kown in their field. Do you write to them to complain also? Do you complain to the BBC when they have David Coulthad as a pundit offering his opinion?
