F1 » USF1 set to announce first driver for F1 2010 on Monday

The last of the 13 teams entered for F1 2010 to make any official noises on the driver front, USF1 could just be set to break its silence this week - with reigning double Argentine Touring Car Champion José María López in-line for the first of the two available seats

No bets Dangerous Dave.

Lopez will be named.

What has got me baffled despite reports primarily floating through this forum the team is not and I emphasise Not financially strapped.

To be signing pay drivers with little experience I can only see as a safety net.

Totally baffled. Interesting to see who the team mate will be.

commodore. usf1 said last week that they would only sign pay drivers. so they MUST have financial problems. otherwise they could have paid for one of the spare f1 drivers in the market at present. using two rookies is not a good way to get results, or notice.

@ richard

Thats the point. They are not suffering financially.

Windsor did not state they would be signing "two" pay drivers however was cautious in his statement.

As I say it will be interesting to see who the team mate of Lopez will be.

Whoever it may be should be a person of calibre if the team wish to be noticed and achieve.

Villeneuve was down here two weeks ago and virtually stated to the local media he was set for F1 2010 however would not elaborate further. Who Knows?
