F1 » Angry Schumi rejects claims he doesn't race fair

He has been back in the F1 spotlight for barely a month, but already Mercedes Grand Prix 2010 signing Michael Schumacher has found himself on the receiving end of some rather uncomfortable questions...

Richard,

Apart from the idiotic journo, all the F1 sites speak of a faultless launch. Nico has a full interview as do other memebers of the team.

I saw the whole thing live on N-TV and there were no screw ups. Can you divulge?

I wish someone would ask Schumacher if he'll veto any team orders at Mercedes and guarantee he'll race Rosberg as an equal.

"Win at all cost" is right. Just asked Rubens Barrichello, when he had to give away a win to Schumacher. If MS was the greatest driver ever he would have refused to steal that race. Sorry Schumacher fans but there have been far too many tainted victories.

johnson, i dont know if ntv had the full launch, but it was on rtl and there were SEVERAL journos asking searching questions. and haug responded when the issue of rosbergs number came up! why do you think that nico rarely smilled through the whole launch.
i have a number of contacts on the mainland, and these are very reliable. i had found out about massas times, when quite a number were saying he was slower than rossi. look back a few days if you dont believe me! but then, you usually dont!

@PaulW

If Rubens had a 'win at all cost' desire he would have turned off his radio and won the race. Team orders do suck but that was Jean Todt's call -- even Michael was embarrassed to win like that.

@ PaulW - let me guess you are a Senna fan? The dirtiest racer ever, who on more than one occasion deliberately took other racers out, but as he is sadly no longer with us all this has been forgotten and is classed as the best of all time :?

You are looking into this whole Rosberg v Schumi thing way too deeply. I have seen with my own eyes Rosberg laughing and joking with Zetsche and Haug! Schumacher was obviously going to be the medias main focus of attention. Could it be that he was just bored of waiting around?

Also How could this ruin Mercedes Launch?

As for the Massa times, I hear no official timing gear was at the circuit so no real comparison was plausible(could be Ferrari PR lol)
So I couldnt verify it, but it seems plausible Rossi could be quicker......

God how I hated F1 when Shoemaker was driving. Team Ferarri had all the clout and he made things so boring. I hope one of the young guns blows him out of the water in the up coming season.

You will never change many people's views that some of MS wins were not valid. MS is bound to get prickly when interviewed as he's obviously embarrassed by some of his past. I still believe he's back as he sees a threat to his number of wins and truly being unbiased and not "spewing bile", I believe that threat to him is Lewis if the car is good.

I'm usually observer on these posts as often late in bed reading on them on phone. Following Frank's outburst the other day, JET and other regulars, the comments you make are all worthwhile, interesting and amusing. George, calm down! :)
