F1 » Hamilton: I suggested McLaren should sign Button

Lewis Hamilton has revealed that contrary to accusations that he likes to be paired with a driver he can easily beat, it was in fact he who personally suggested Jenson Button as his McLaren-Mercedes team-mate in F1 2010 - but are tensions already beginning to bubble beneath the surface at Woking..?

This headline is pure tabloid. LH asked Martin what's going on and Martin told him - that's all. Seems like poeple are determined to create friction between these two before we've even had testing. Stupid really. Once they see MS go at the first test, then there gonna know what the score is!

"are tensions already beginning to bubble beneath the surface at Woking..?"

No, but you clearly want them to, having tried to pick and desperately work a few stories out of almost nothing whilst deliberately feeding the Trolls for Advertising $$$.

As for trying to invent trouble between both driver's fathers, you seem to forget they are old friends, John Button used to build Kart engines for the Hamiltons.

If you want to sink so low as to make fun of driver's families, there are some very wierd looking chinny monobrow inbreds lurking around the back of the Ferrari garages these days, kept out of the public eye for good reason....

Sunny: Who does one expect LH to prefer?

That's a good question that applies to most teams. Every driver wants to know he is better than his team mate because, in the same cars, he is going to be the hardest person to beat. If other cars are faster sometimes, so be it, but if your own team mate is faster you have a problem. When it comes to top drivers like LH, FA, MS, I'm sure they all have huge self-belief and all genuinely believe they are faster than JB, KR, FM, etc.

On the other hand, if your team mate is too slow, he doesn't take points off the opposition. I'm sure LH would rather have JB than HK, FA would rather have FM than RB or JT. FM probably thinks exactly the same about FA.

Another piece of insincerity from the boy. Does he really we and for that matter JB are really taken in by his school boy attempt at mind games... he will soon be able to match Tiger Woods in the leauge of BS!

I dunno about the rest of you, but I don't value all this tabloid whip-up. I want to read facts, not journalists' hopes of having a war to write about. And in sport I want to know about skill not hatred.
