'It's my last season and I want to live the dream of being a Ferrari F1 driver...to tell my grandkids...'
He left a far better car for the Ferrari, he'd probably still be at Force India for 'one last season' if he'd have hung in there ?? Fisi was a top line F1 journeyman, he won and had numerous podiums over maybe 13seasons or more but is that enough to give him the nod over DLR, given DLR brought rather a large sponsor to Sauber. DLR is one of the best developmental drivers but I'm not sure he deserved the drive over anyone else, nevermind Fisi...the 'fund factor' was perhaps paramount. Fisi had a mighty career and time to move on.

Dean, I have to agree that leaving force India was a daft thing to do. There was really very little chance of him keeping a seat at Ferrari in 2010 and even if Ferrari paid Force India well for poaching him, I was disappointed that he jumped ship so quickly. He could have said no and showed loyalty to Force India who had given him a drive for 2009 when no-one else had. So I guess other team bosses might have looked at that and wondered how committed he would be to their smaller teams in 2010. But I suspect the biggest issue was money. Is De La Rosa sponsored by Santander? Everyone else seems to be.
