F1 » Hamilton: Refuelling ban makes F1 cars 'time bombs'

McLaren-Mercedes' 2008 world champion Lewis Hamilton has cautioned that the renewed ban on refuelling in the sport in 2010 has turned F1 cars into dangerous 'time bombs...which could go off at any time'

Apparently Button said the same... Anyhow, what's a driver going to answer to questions like "do you think that driving at 300kph while sitting on 200liters of gas is dangerous?"

Just another stupid story twisted around some journalist's answers to his stupid questions... "News of the World" yeah! A very trustworthy paper there... Right...

Gas is dangerous, refuelling or not.
Ask Gerhard Berger about how he blew up his nearly full tank in at the 1989 Imola GP, or Jos Verstappen who litterally caught on fire, refuelling at the 1994 Hockenheim GP...

Not too proud of crash for publishing this trash either.

@Sharp

Please please don't bring racism into this forum whatever you suspect a posters motives are.

It's a motorsport forum, there is banter which is pretty ferocious at times but it's mostly good natured and never seen anything that can be classed as racism.

Someone (and lots do) dislike the guy but you can't say they are racist for that and by labelling them white chickens you are yourself a racist :?

Well said Barry, it's not that Richard's biased or anything. Whatever Hamilton says is manipulated by CRASH to feed his detractors. Shame on CRASH yet again, who surely must be in contention for the 'Gutter Press of the Year award.

barry, why the attack on me?? i was just pointing out that more petrol in a car does not make it a timebomb, or increase the risk of fire. what on earth is wrong with stating the obvious?? it was a stupid statement, whoever would make it, be it schumi, webber, vettel etc.

Taz, whilst I would agree that Sharp is wrong to allege racism, I wouldn't agree with you when you say 'that the banter is pretty ferocious at times but is mostly good natured'. This is certainly not the case with respect to Hamilton, just look at some of the previous comments, they're positively vitreolic!
