Composite Guy, really interesting post giving some good first hand insights from someone inside the industry. It is a shame you cannot disclose your identity to give full credence to your report but I fully understand why you need to use a pseudonym.

Ken asks to miss 4 races.. Why would he not ask to miss just three? That is the amount you can miss, although with penalities. Ken asking for 4 seems to be a request to throw them out instead of quiting.

missing the first four races in Bahrain, Australia, Malaysia and China all long haul events and therefore, by extension, logistically amongst the most expensive on the calendar.

If they get 10M for travel from Bernie, how is this expensive to THEM? Did they not know where the races were held?

" a bump in the road"?~!! No car, no drivers and it's a bump in the road? Other teams are ready willing and able, but once again the US wants to change the rules to suit them. I really hope the FIA says a big NO to these upstart amateurs.

Go back to last year and re-read the comments after Mr Windsor described how his "lean and mean " organisation was going to show how it should be done with his American style efficiency etc. - how all F1 technology came from the USA anyway.Few bought his story then - even fewer now.A little due diligence would have exposed this organisation for what it was and perhaps a professional team such as Lola or Prodrive would have been accepted rather than this bunch of clowns.

To say this is a farce would be to do it an injustice.
USF1 were selected against the likes of Lola & Prodrive presumably because, way back then, they told a good story. Despite the length of time involved the team never seemed to stick anything together, regardless of whatever they told the FIA & YouTube. The best driver they could come up with was someonoe never heard of o/s of Mexico, this despite proven talent being avialable such as Ant DAVDISON.

And so now we are now left with Stefan GP or whatever they call themselves with a container full of new & old Toyota parts rather than a professional outfit operated by racers from Prodrive or Lola.
What a joke.....

The TV dummy, Windsor wants 4 races to get the car on the grid. Guys that not going to happen. We were snookered starting some many weeks back. we hoped fingers crossed, we got just what the USF1 boys intended, a dream! I remember someone saying,
"fool me once, fool me twice, well you cant fool me again"

Bernie put the Toyota team on the grid, time is short lets get racing.

Windsor try again next year, come early so we can listen carefully.

Fool me once, Windsor I bet you cant sell us the Brooklyn bridge twice.

Windsor didn't even quit his day job after being awarded an F1 spot on the grid. He was on pitlane baffling us with his bull. He should have quit the MOMENT he was awarded a spot. And focused ENTIRELY on the USF1 team. He did not.

The only right thing to happen now is for bernie to tell them to try again in 2011 and grant StefanGP entry.

Stefan are more or less ready to go and it is unfair to USF1 to prolong the agony any longer.

Ever heard of the man who went into a restaurant ordered the most expensive on the menu and after drinking the best glass of wine called the waiter and asked him if he could please call the police because he haven't got a penny, when the waiter called the police the man said, well am going to have a roof over my head tonight so the day is complete.
