Not surprising...Well, firstly, StefanGP is not officially in the championship so the rules do not apply to them. They can go testing on their own. When they get a slot, the rules can not be applied to them retro-actively. My suggestion is head to any test facility or track and shake it down and run testing days for safety and updates. USF1...I really don't like having the US flag on their logo. There's no way that this type of mismanaged operation is any type of "dream" that I would want to be associated with. You can't just show up with a "ticket" to the C'ship and expect sponsors will show up with bags o' cash. Financing hopes & dreams was gone by the beginning of 2008, hi bad economy.

USF1 should be forgotten including fines and what not, the previous FIA administration was taken for a 5 year ride and this time BE was a passenger, this cobweb can only be solved by the FIA/FOM and FOTA minus one (USF1 itself), no one part on its own can solve it, I don't believe JT will resort to previous arbitrary decisions and will not let BE do so.

It's funny because many teams over the years have tried and not made it, or had problems making it. Suddenly when a U.S. team tries, and has unforseen problems, then it's all like "DUMP THEM", and there incompedent looking, or like there clowns or something. Sounds like a lot of U.S. bashing to me !

USF1 dug their own grave and now can't get out of it. It's up to Todt and the FIA to ultimately decide USF1's future. Hopefully we get an explanation in the next couple of days because this has gone way to far. There are a lot saying that they should wait 'till 2011, but what if there are no more grid slots by that time. Best wishes to USF1, because I do want to see them compete.

I am state side as well.. F1's following in the states is small at best. Dumping them from F1 will mean NOTHING here. Peter and Ken will have the only egg on their face when it is all said and done. The whole thing in my opinion was a ruse. Peter kept his day job, asked to be able to sell the team, and finally asked for 4 missed races. They are waiting for someone to buy the team and make some money. And all this while Ken said he had a laptop with an F1 car that he updated every year for the last 5 years. Where is the car??? And YouTube pulled a Branson. They get what they deserve as well.

Rob: StefanGP can test all they want.

Yes, but the teams have these collective tests at Barcelona as a way of saving money. The FIA hires the track and arranges the marshals etc. If Stefan GP went testing on their own then it would cost a lot of money. As you pointed out, they also won't have the right tyres to test the car, and most of all, they wouldn't be testing alongside the F1 teams so no-one could see if they were a reasonable package or 20 seconds off the pace, whether they had a credible entry or not.
