Rumours suggest that Bruno Senna could yet lose his ride with Campos Meta as the team looks for the funding to make it to Bahrain.

So colin kolles has been in this job less than a week and he's already turned this team from a joke into a laughing stock. Oh hooray I'll definitely be cheering on talentless pay drivers

If Bruno loses his drive again (for the second year running) due to politics and pap like that, I won't be watching another F1 race. Period.

@Gaz

He was supposed to be bringing sponsorship that hasn't materialised apparently.

Been conflicting statements, that team is a shamble though so who knows :rolleyes:

@Taz

Bruno was never going to bring any money to the team. He made it quite clear that he did not want to be seen as a pay driver and that he was only getting to F1 on his name. Hence, why he brought no cash and wanted to get there on his talent and results alone. Which has far more of than messrs Chandock and Lopez! But hey, if money is the only thing that gets drivers into F1 these days, then bye, bye F1 for me. Stuff it.

I suppose with the team being under "New" Ownership they can do what they want!! If they do ditch Senna, I would like to see Stefan GP sign him up instead of JV!! But we can't all have it our own way!!

On the subject of pay drivers, didn't Schumi pay to start his career with Jordan back in '91?? (albeit for two Grand Prix).

With no car for Campos, hard to see they will be on the grid at all!

I can see Brunos point but maybe it's better to be in there showing you can cut it than sitting on the sidelines telling people how good you are that you won't pay. Surly a deal can be struck on repayment if he gets good enough results that bring in more sponorship.
Look at button and barrichello last year where would they be now if they hadn't took a pay cut.
And Nikki Lauda started as a pay driver.
IMHO swallow your pide and get in there.

Bo Duke - Merc payed his way as he was part of the Sauber Merc sportscar team. He only hung around for one race (well one corner really) then went onto pastures new at Benetton.

If Campos have asked Senna for additional money then that is appalling. Where are they expecting him to get the extra money at short notice?

It is far better for them to sign Chandhok to partner Senna as they have driven together in the same team before and apparently have a good working relationship. They will be able to provide valuable information once the season gets under way to improve the car.

Honda should have signed him last year after testing.

In any case, Senna's manager has stated to the BBC that as far as they are concerned, Bruno has a contract and they have no reason to believe that he will not have a seat.

Good luck Bruno. Remember what the name stands for!

Which is not his name anyway...!
Why would you carry your uncle's name instead of your name at birth...?
This guy is too good to pay his way into F1?
But not good enough to keep his real name, Senna for sure turns more heads!
