According to autosport Rosberg was doing qualification simmulation on fast track (before rain) when others were doing longer runs.
After the rain track condition deteriorated so low fuel run times were slower.

Apart from their intended use tests are turned temporally into a mind game by the teams and into a talking/printing stimulus pill by the media, A topped the time sheets, B is the fastest, it's always the headlines and not what was done during the test, it's all stretched and twisted like a rubber band and some will first swallow and then thrive on it in these and such forum pages

I acknowledge that the problem is and will always be, I and like minded posters will never get themselves to say/post just what others would like to hear/read regardless if it's the truth/facts.

What are would other posters wanting to hear/read? Are you the mouthpiece of this thread?

Testing is important and does give an indication as to what is goin on. Witness Mclaren last year when they were in trouble!
So by your measure that was just to fill column inches in a paper? I dont think so somehow.

We can all see Ferrari and Mclaren are very quick with Red bull and then Mercedes following behind.
We can also see Williams and Sauber are very close to the front 4 too. All this from reading between the lines at what teams are doing.

Red Bull have created alot of red flags aqnd it seems there reliabilty is very very poor. It seems a common traqit of Newey cars to be fragile.
I wonder what issues are dogging them this year.
