If he is the genius many claim, his ability to develop the car will see him increasingly competitive during the weekend, so maybe some fights through the field on race day - that's got to be good for F1.

pc. schumis fights through the field, were usually when he had an ultra competitive car, and he had problems in quali or had been penalised for some reason. if the car is not spot-on, he is more likely to remain static during the race. but it is odd that he revises his opinion nearly every day.

"making what has been described as the greatest comeback in sporting history"

I don't know who on earth described it as that, but I suspect they have never heard of Mike Hailwood.

So if they don't have a car capable of race-wins at least it may mean equal status for Nico, as every point will be valuable. Will be interesting to watch Michael FINALLY in such environment.

for the Mercedes GP W01, to make your car quick change the wheelbase and the nose of your car. that should to the trick, and dont expect much about the diffuser thing because all of your opponent have already develop a good diffuser. your car is the only car out there that has nose pointed downward, change that its the only thing that hampered the aerodynamics design of your car and adapt the redbull like nose.

I have a feeling Ross and company will arrive in Bahrain much improved from what we have seen so far. Won't be surprised if they inch closer to Ferrari and McLaren by the time the season starts.

Won't be surprised, too, if it turns out Nico is the faster one by then.

Well I dont think Schumi is losing any sleep to be honest. If the car is a dud, there isnt much he can do about it. Much as Alonso and Hamilton couldnt in their "duds".

Interestingly the Mercedes W01 improved in consistency and time with its NEW front wing in the final 3 days of barcelona compared to the first day. F1fanatic

There are now rumours starting to pop up everywhere of a controversial "super diffuser".Check out autotrader and updatef1.

So a totally different aero pack to what they started with at Valencia then.

Anyone who writes off Schumacher before seeing the final evolution of the W01 is a fool.

testing times. ALL teams will be analysing data from the test, so it would be normal to see substantial aero updates by bahrain, from most of these teams. for instance, ferrari tested a different airbox, with fin, and as yet we dont know if that will be on the car at bahrain.

"Anyone who writes off Schumacher before seeing the final evolution of the W01 is a fool."

Couldn't agree more.

If the car is not competitive then it'll look even better when he wins. He has already proved himself several times so if the come-back doesn't work then so what?
