F1 » F1 rivals unconvinced by Mercedes' 'little lies' and 'understatement'

Niki Lauda and co believe that Mercedes GP is better prepared than the team is letting on – and that Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg will both be on the pace next weekend in Bahrain for the F1 2010 season opener.

"The claim that Mercedes is struggling and will not be able to drive for victory is an understatement in my opinion"

You know, that could be interpreted completely different than what you convey in the article...Maybe he means that, in his opinion, not only are they not able to fight for victory, but that they'll be significantly on the back foot.

Mercedes have somthing they dont want to give away.
We will have to see in Bahrain wether its any good or not. That would be quite somthing for Schumacher AND Mercedes to win first time out.
Fingers firmly crossed for them.

Alonso's odds are not as optimistic..interesting. I expect Lewis, Nico and Michaels odds to close up before the race. Nico is looking a good longshot (I already put a little flutter down in january)

People in the limelight are held to different standards. The reason they are happy to keep bringing it up is that it showed a chink in Lewis's armor. They were happy to find a flaw. But in the end he should have known better. I think he learned a big lesson so all was not lost. Forget and forgive. It's the F1 way.
