The beleaguered USF1 team could be hit with FIA sanctions after failing to make the start of the 2010 F1 season.

Yet again another ruling from the F1 croonies that defies logic. This is ridiculous. "let's kick em while they're down!". Perhaps an attempt to divert the blame of this debacle away from themselves. Nonetheless, I hope this doesn't detract from what looks like an interesting season.

Ditto. Let's just penalize them a *little* more by what, fining them money they don't have after the team has essentially disbanded? Maybe the FIA will come over and repo the computers or something idiotic like that, it seems to be their style.

And Jean Todt acting as "prosecutor"???? Oh my...

What exactly can the FIA do to USF1? the outfit is on it's uppers already and has no chance whatsoever of now or at any time in the future of joining the F1 circus(I use the word "circus" accurately)-There is no point in fining them as you can't get blood out of a stone so just let them go away and die quietly

There were better candidates on the original selection but they wanted a 'US'team regardless and now it has blown-up in their faces, so they will pass the buck. A retink of their selection policies and makers is in order but don't expect any resignations over this. HRT didn't turn a wheel in testing so why not let Stefan GP join the circus?

Yes Cosworth, a rethink of the selection process is needed, but how would giving Stefan the slot sort that out?

The only thing to do is to create a transparent selection process and open it up to allcomers again. That way Stefan can be assessed fairly against any other candidates.

The FIA could fine them $1 trillion, but since they're not taking part in any FIA sanctioned events, USF1 can give Todt & his WMSC the middle finger ... & there's nothing the FIA can do about it, since they actually have no recognised legal jurisdiction anywhere on this planet.
