F1 » Branson hopes 'one day Virgin will overtake Red Bull'

Charismatic Virgin founder Sir Richard Branson has boldly vowed that his eponymously-named team will 'one day' go on to 'overtake' Red Bull as F1's pace-setter - and perhaps not even that far into the future, either...

Greg, Calvin, the Virgins and the HRTs between them didn't complete a full race distance. That's pretty poor. As for the headline, if it had been less specific then I would have no trouble agreeing with it, i.e. "Branson hopes one day a car will overtake another car".

Alan D,

OK, I was having a bit of fun. But I still think that teams who have not attended at least one FIA pre-season test should not be allowed to use a race weekend as a testing or shake down session.

I assume Virgin is in it for the long run, as the only way they will beat Red Bull is on a simulator. You have to be in it to win it Richard, and its not an overnight thing. Lets just see your cars make the distance first. They call that walking before you can run.. but good luck anyway.
