F1 » Ten-second deficit could have set up fighting finish

It has been claimed that Fernando Alonso may have had to rely on his superior tyre management to win the Bahrain GP without Sebastian Vettel's problems.

Sigh

Without Vettel's spark plug/engine issue he's never have got past because of the aero issue.

This is all b0llocks to make a story, as F1 novice says...if and but's & maybe's

Absolutely, its all if and buts and utter b0ll0cks, no excuses that it was all so dull and boring. Talking rubbish will not improve the racing.
This year will be a disaster for the fans.

In no way am trying to say that an engine might not be more fuel efficient then another as this can be even traced between the same make of engine the same goes for power output between the same productions runs of an engine, but the fuel efficiency differences of these FI engines as regards the engine itself is not only being exaggerated but its hypothetical, and here am not talking about the car per se am talking about the engine as a unit, this because the car can make all the difference people are talking about in fuel consumption, keep in mind that fuel consumed is directly proportional to power produced the people who produce FI engines will correct any excessive fuel consumption proportionally to the power being produced, I have no doubt about that ability.

As someone has already said - whatever!
It was totally boring and does not bode well for the rest of the season. Can't wait for BTCC to get going so I can watch something on 4 wheels that is exciting. :p

I have waited sixteen hours since somebody disagreed with my post about F1 engines exaggerated and hypothetical fuel consumption perception wrongly attributed to the engine alone and no counter argument technical or not was forthcoming may be the one that disagreed can only go argue technical matters on F1 technical site were some who pretend to be technically minded go post some of the most unbelievable technical trash on earth because nobody dare counter their trash for fear of being thrown out and that makes them happy by feeling great technically, and then they come on here and have the gel to criticise CRASH NET because here their trash can be openly/democratically countered with solid arguments.

This is a good story and so true. I believe FA would have passed SV but it would have been very hard due to Aero & Tyre issues however I feel SV would have perhaps made a mistake allowing FA past as oppose to a fight.
