Who else had "Useless Russian Pay Driver" Petrov down as likely Rookie of the Year contender ?

Look how close he is to Kubica, presuming they are setting that on similar fuel loads it is very impressive.

Less impressive, with the same condition, is Mr Schumachers performance against Rosberg. Most people are saying MS is not up to speed, few seem to be thinking it is due to Rosberg being very fast....

Either way, Like Petrov, it seems NR is doing his reputation no harm at all right now.

Close to Robert on free practice? Yes, this may be conclusive  Especially that Petrov is pushing to improve his qualyfying pace and we don't know the fuel loads and it's ONLY practice. when most drivers try different settings and tire-wear and DON'T push like hell. But okay, make the Petrov practice-champion, Nico was the one in the Williams-days, too.

Did you not read or understand the use of the word PRESUMING .... when I said "presuming they are setting that on similar fuel loads it is very impressive."

Yes, the times need to be treated with caution, that is why I specifically said it like that.

Yes, I did. But you "presume" and yet sound very confident in the your first sentence that Petrov had improved, which is yet to be confirmed and crazy to claim after FP1 :) Simply, presuming the fuel loads makes no sense and it's just speculation. And Vitaly has yet to prove that he's not useless, the best way to do it is scoring points in the car more than capable of it (exclusive potential breakdowns).

I agree with A.S. I never pay any attention to practice times since we don't know many components of that the set up strategy and fuel loads are. For G's sake it's practice.
