there are rumors that as Ferrari is not extending Massa's contract they are checking couple of other drivers, one of them Kubica. Kubica and Alonso that would have been the most competitive pair on the grid outside of Webber and Vettel.

Oh no no no!
I thing Renault with it's improving job is best place for both Kubica and Petrov. I'm not French but would like to see Kubica winning here (and Petrov improving) couse it's more encouraging to see somebody's win onboard not so best car like Ferrari/McLaren/RBR. If they can to this I put all money on them! I like their positive attitude:)

Robert showed all of last season in the BMW and continues to show this season in the Renault that his ability is making the cars that he drives appear to be better than they really are. RK doesn't winge and moan and just gets on with the job. He WILL end up in a top team and he WILL be a world champion one day. Who knows, he may even do what Shuie managed at Benneton and give a 2nd rate team a world championship win. At the moment, all of of this is giving him an excellent base to develop his talent. Some F1 drivers only look good because of the car - Robert K makes the car look good.

I am not sure Kubica can be in a better team. He was on the market for a very long time last year and there were no takers.
Now Domenicali already said he preferes Massa.
The only hope is that Renault will keep improving.
