Listen, I like views and scenery as much as the next person.. However all Bernie talks about is 'Breath-taking views' for the telly, 'backdrop this' and 'surroundings that'.. Oh and yes, it is all about dollars and markets.. Yes indeedy, like you need more cash Mr Ecclestone. What about the track layout? Would it produce a good race, would it naturally promote overtaking without Bernie's silly initiatives. If I had to choose between a crappy and unremittingly boring race in the finest gardens in the world, or a stellar race run through some inglorious, ugly and obscure destination. 10 times out of 10 I'd pick the latter. Race quality should ALWAYS come first, before any other consideration!

All the more evidence that F1 is a fashion statement they're trying to sell to the masses. The more the better. Whenever I look at audiences in F1, I can't shake the feeling that most of them have no idea what's going on. Compare that to MotoGP/2 in Jerez, for example, where hey couldn't sit still in their seats, and knew when a Spaniard won without needing the tv to tell them.

I just wish that I have Bernie's drive to make money when I'm 100 years old.

@Frank G, i read on PF1 that it would be at Liberty Park. i dont know how big that park is but hopefully big enough to put something that can produce passing. maybe its a massive park for all i know

Jersey City is a piece of crap, there is no way in hell this is gonna happen. Even the name "The Jersey City GP" sounds ridiculous. I thought F1 was supposed to be about the best.

@ MR Pasta Eddie..OK my man you hit it...Jersey City I
can handle that....The down side, that area has no deep water marinas, I need 13ft min. So we anchor out in the Hudson, no problem...Hope old Bernie can pull it off.
Man it hot here in Nassau, I'll collect the crew Sat. and run south to Ocho Rios....
Again 73, mate.

El Capatain,
JOSE
