F1 » Another US team eyes F1 entry – but won't 'embarrass America'

Undeterred by the sorry end to the saga of USF1, the Cypher Group has revealed that it is evaluating making an F1 2011 entry bid of its own - as it aims 'to give America the shot it deserves'

Yeah.... 'cypher' - arithmetic symbol of no value, used to occupy vacant place, person or thing of no importance, secret or disguised.... make of that what you will!

this unknown team claim to have f1 people on their staff. sounf familiar??? and they say they are looking for chassis suppliers. do they not know they have to build their own chassis??

much though i wouls like to see a usa team on the grid, they dont appear to know what is required. and isnt the date for expressing an interest, long past??

Oh dear. Not again. That's the same kind of BS press release we got from USF1. Hopefully they realise just how much money they'll need to compete in F1. Then hopefully they'll be able to raise it.

@Cardinal Yeah, I noticed that, too.

The one encouraging factor is that they don't have the visions of competitive grandeur that USF1 had, 'we'll surprise you with how super-awesome we perform.'

Their focus, according to their statement, is on raising the funds, and out sourcing the chassis. USF1 tried to do a ground up design, including the gearbox! How foolish.
