F1 » Gallagher: Renault won't steal Cosworth's clients!

Cosworth's head of operations Mark Gallagher tells Crash.net Radio that speculation of Lotus and Williams switching to Renault power in 2011 has been misconstrued - whilst lauding the British company's 'extremely successful' return to F1

So faqr this season with four teams to supply Cosworth has done well and as Williams has proved the engine is competitive in terms of performance and durability. As the team has been out of F1 for 3 years they are able to carry out more performance updates and if these work then they should prove even more competitive. I'm sure that Renault and Ferrari would like the extra supply but I dont believe that they are able to go as far as Cosworth. I hope that Cosworth do get the fifth supply deal as they were badly let down by USF1. Eventually Cosworth will become the engine to beat in F1 as they were before. :) :) :)

As Mark Gallagher said "They (the teams) have done an outstanding job given the lack of pre season testing"

There was talk that the Cosworth would, lack power, overheat and be unreliable, this just hasn't been the case.

No amount of dyno-room simulated testing can match having the thing bolted in a chassis and racing around a track, and that is the element that is missing now.

For me, 8 out of 10 so far, good work.
