F1 » USF1 finally admits defeat for 2011, Cosworth seeks payment


The curtain has finally come down on the disastrous USF1 effort, it has been confirmed, and there will be no new bid for F1 entry in 2011 - just lots of outstanding debts and compensation to pay...

I wonder how Cosworth are a creditor. Surely they wouldn't have given money to USF1, and even the engines don't belong to the teams do they?
I always thought the actual engines were leased to the teams.
I suppose the one area that USF1 would owe money to Cosworth is in the technical assistance field, but like Taz I think they will be lucky to see a penny (dime!!)

i'm glad your not in it, and most people who follow f1 and are not a colonial american for that matter. i can imagine it now f1 cars covered in us flags the full works. over the top!!. stick to your nascar!
