Robert Kubica admits it isn't the time to discuss his F1 future as rumours abound about where he will race in 2011

cobalt. no, it IS just a rumour. many abound, but ferrari have stated a number of times that massas contract is t be extended. he is a better and more consistent driver than kubica, and fits in with the ferrari family very well. massas manager MAY have been in talks with renault, but possibly only as a fall back and to help negotiations with ferrari.

excuse me, but Massa more consistent than Kubica? are you joking? anyway Massa is good in Ferrari so no switch needed. about Alonso and Kubica progres in Renault comparison by A.S. - well maybe RK works with 25% of past squad but maybe that former 75% was as cheaty as Briatore? You don't know how Alonso could perform in R30 this year. There's a question about Ferrari: is it still a racing team or it begun to be a corporation team (like BMW)

@Richard
It seems to much of a coincidence, Massa talking to Renault, Montezemolo refusing to confirm Massas 2011 contract extension, Kubica saying is to early to sign with Renault for 2011, etc.
If Ferrari wanted Massa they would plainly said so the way RB, Merc, McL state that they want to keep current drivers. The way Renault says they want to keep Kubica. Easy, plain and simple.
There were "rumours" last year about Kimi, Fernando, Jenson, Michael.

@Richard
"but ferrari have stated a number of times that massas contract is t be extended" - would you mind sharing the source or a link? I've followed this so called rumor but have failed to come across any straight statetement from Ferrari that Massas' contract is to be extended.

Consider this, Alonso has been bumping his gums (surprise surprise!) about the supposed lack of development at Ferrai. Either Ferrari are sounding out Kubica as a stand in incase Alonso walks mid-season or a replacment for Alonso in 2011.

I thought they had more or less confirmed Massa for 2011?

The only place Ferdi goes from here would be to RB or Merc but that's unlikely. I don't see him going over to a lesser car like Lotus or Williams. This is Ferdi's last dance if it doesn't work out. As far as something official nothing has been said about 2011 line up which in the end doesn't mean that Massa is staying or going.

I dont see FA going anywhere. He is the best paid driver in F1 so I doubt he would want to break his contract. He wants improvements, he doesnt want to leave, for sure.
Ferrari bosses are happy with him, why shouldnt they be? He made a few mistakes but most of them were because he wanted to get the most of the underperforming car.
Like him or not, he is still one of the best drivers if not the best.
