F1 » Red Bull re-signs Mark Webber for F1 2011

Arguably the man at the heart of the F1 2011 silly season rumours - current world championship leader Mark Webber - has laid claim to his seat in the sport's annual game of musical chairs by electing to stay with Red Bull Racing for a fifth consecutive campaign

Pleasing to see. Someone at RBR recognises the talent and calibre of their team overall as a package.

Usually that decision is made by the person signing the cheques who in this case does not need advice..

Perhaps Mark rightly doesn't reckon he will get anything better anywhere else, and also thinks that Vettel may be off somewhere else before too much longer anyway.

Also, after the Turkish GP I did wonder why Lewis looked less than thrilled with the win, and elsewhere I also suggested that the Mclarens ended up racing each other due to the drivers being told to save fuel in different ways, Lewis being given a target lap time and Jensen just asked to save fuel. It seems from BBC website and other places that I was correct, and that Lewis was suspicious about why the drivers had been told different things and that they had ended up all but banging wheel because of it.

Paul I do not know what nationality you are but it has been well documented down here both through interviews with Mark on T.V and paper tabloid he had no wish to leave RBR.
The Ferrari rumour started through Massa giving the belief he wished out of Ferrari.

Mark has stated RBR will be his last F1 drive and when the desire subsides he will retire.

Marks quotes in this article go hand in hand with what a few of us have said all along during "the debate" Mark is obviously not concerned with RB playing favorites or he would not have signed and said what he said. He does not strike me as that kind of guy. He respects RB maybe the rest of you that had a problem with them might now too.
