David has done so much behind the scenes to promot safety for F1 Drivers. Yes he lives abroad but so do all our F1 drivers. He deserves this recognition for all he has done for F1. You dont have to win the championship to be dedicated to the safety of your fellow drivers. Well done David!

Many of you guys, well, you suck.

It is just a nice bauble for a fairly accomplished driver.

Sorry about your own personal issues where you have not been as recognized as much as you feel you should have deserved.

Doesn't have much to do with this award for this driver.

But sorry for you, never the less. Maybe it will get better latter in the year.

To all those of you who have been very rude and negative about DC's award, please grow up!

David has been fundamental in promoting safety within F1 and championing British racing. He is a truly genuine guy who knows exactly where his roots are and takes noting for granted. As for him living in Monaco - who wouldn't if they had the chance - perhaps you're just a little jealous?

He would probably never have expected this award and those of you that seem to feel you need recognition for your own efforts, all I can say is try harder next time!

Anyway, congratulations DC! You deserve it just for being such a truly lovely person!

Hi David, so pleased to hear of your MBE but more pleased to hear you are 'a DAD' . You played a big part in our lives for a few years and gave us quite a bit of street cred. Always like to hear good things about you. Best wishes to Joyce and Duncan and much happiness to your own family.
