F1 » USF1 banned by FIA from F1 and 'any competition'

Having so famously failed to keep its pledge to make the grand prix grid in F1 2010 and subsequently gone into liquidation, the débâcle that was USF1 has now been fined by the FIA and denied 'the right to take part, in any way whatsoever, in any competition' by the sport's governing body

Next thing's they'll be banning is the Boogie monster, Father Christmas and the Abominable Snowman!

What on earth is the point of this given they have gone into liquidation? Ridiculous

I may be wrong but when the teams recieved notification that they had been accepted and given grid positions in F1 were the sports governing body not planning on enforcing the £40 million total a season budget they had been talking about?
If so this could have had a severe detrimentle effect on their bid to compete.
Or was that just the smoke screen the FIA needed to boost a dwindling grid?

cubik. boogie monster, father christmas and yeti?? at least they exist whereas usf1 doesnt! are you trying to spoil next christmas for me?? and whats the point in fining usf1 , when they have no money? windsor could start up usAf1 next year, and be exempted from the ban, as this would be a new company.
really the fia are glossing over their own shortcomings, in not having done adequate investigations before accepting usf1.

This is not about getting additional money from USF1, its about creating a fine to legally keep what they already have. Rememeber USF1 paid an entry fee which the FIA still has. By creating this stupid fine they are basically taking that money so no creditor can come after it to pay USF1 debts.
