I wonder what RB will do if they continue the way they are going. Will he, as I expect, pull out and look elsewhere citing that the return on the investment is not enough to warrant the expenditure.

They have a new aero package this weekend. They are in a better position than HRT who havent done much development. Plus the team is closing in slowly they started the year 5 seconds off now they are 3/3.5 secs off not bad. Lotus are easily the best they have been within 2.5 secs of the best time.

@ Rob01

Whats the intrest rate? :p

EJ is right though... considering he ran a private team for 14 years, he will know what he is on about... though at least Virgin have the luxary of a Billionaire that knows jack**** about F1, but alot about business... even if Virgin F1 is a failure... I bet branson would still find a way to get a profit out of his venture.... though I am hoping he has more patiance and chucks another chunk of money into the team so they can race in 2011 :)

Richard Branson didn't become the multi-millionaire he is today by throwing money at ventures that will not turn a profit.

If he's not getting the return he expects on his investment so far I have no doubt he will cut his losses.

I hope he sticks at it for a couple of years and see how it goes.

Idiots.....Branson didn't invest his own money. Nor did he loan manor any money.

He got 5 years of financing to sponsor the team. I forgot the amount.

I'm assuming the loan gets paid back based on the value of the team. Equity of some sort?

No need to pull out. He can only make money on this situation. If team goes bankrupt he might not even owe anything back in the loan...tho I'm not sure on the particular terms.
