Well that's a disgraceful attitude. I thought the safety car was exactly that, to ensure safety of drivers and marshalls when there are hazards on the track - not to act as some mobile chicane to spice up the racing.
If that's what "officials" want then do it properly, deploy the safety car at random intervals and brake test bored drivers.

I read on the F1 official page about the "New Rules for safety car period.." I could be wrong but it seems they are the same rules that were always there.

Safety car is to pick up the 1st driver and the other drivers will que up behind the safety car ( just like in Silverstone ) If they are not able to pick up the 1st driver then the other drivers will be waived through till the 1st driver is behind the safety car... The only difference is the Exiting the pit lane rule stating there will be no RED light but the driver is to re enter the track safely... Am I missing something??
