F1 » 'United' Ferrari vows to 'knuckle down' and fight through the gloom

Having notched up just 19 points from the last three grands prix - and team-mate Felipe Massa none at all - Fernando Alonso admits Ferrari now needs to be 'stronger', 'united' and grab every chance that comes its way if it is to successfully remain in the F1 2010 title battle

“We have gone through much worse moments than this".
You have? Ok... when exactly was that?

Nevertheless, I wish Ferrari all the best this season.

Also, on my behalf, I would like to invited Mr. Stefano Domenicali for a summer visit here in Finland, so we can all personally say "hi" to you and enjoy the nice warm Scandinavian summer and even warmer memories of Kimi Raikkonen together.

Wouldn't It Be Nice, like The Beach Boys once sang :)

Now thats more like it and tell Alonso to keep his hands on the steering dont worry about who is behind him or in front, just race. Also the engineers need to give some more race pace in the car. Now get them.

@JP, if its Luca DeMZ saying they've been through harder times, well yes I'd agree with him - much as I think he is a bully in F1 circles these days, Ferrari F1 was on its knees when he took over in the early 90's, without him I doubt for instance that the MS bumboys would be able to crow about '92 wins' for instance. I'll give him a bit of credit.

Alonso should stop trying to position himself as the lead driver in Ferrari. He should stop muscling Massa away till Massa's confidence is wrecked. He should show equal respect to Massa & work with him as a team than expect Massa to yield and play a supporting role to him by taking points off competitors.

Seriously, is any of this a surprise to anyone?

Remember it was Alonso who drive a good race in an effort for Massa to win the WDC over 2 years ago in Brazil, so i dont see no hassle with Massa and Alonso. 23 cars and drivers desparate to win.

@adolf, Let me try that comment again. If Piquet had NOT crashed in Singapore, Massa would have won the WDC. When the safety car came out, Massa lost a lot of points.
